Focus: The Florida Seafood Festival is the state's oldest maritime exhibit. The two-day event annually draws thousands of visitors to this scenic historic town at the mouth of the Apalachicola River. The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood-related events and displays under the shady oaks of Apalachicola's Battery Park. Some of the notable events include oyster eating, oyster shucking, a parade, a 5K Redfish Run and a Blessing of the Fleet.
