Southeastern Fisheries Association, Inc.

Southeastern Fisheries Association (SFA), founded in Jacksonville, Florida, in 1952, is a nonprofit seafood and aquaculture trade association. All segments of Florida's fisheries are represented on SFA's Board of Directors. Each major fishery is a separate section, which comes together as a group for policy decisions. SFA's membership of 450 companies includes harvesters, packers, processors, marine suppliers, exporters, importers and charter boat businesses. Together, they employ over 15,000 people in the seafood trades. SFA is the oldest and most diverse fishery trade association in the southeastern United States.
