Florida Aquaculture Association
The Florida Aquaculture Association (FAA) was formed in 1983 as a nonprofit association to represent Florida's diversified aquaculture industries. The FAA's 300 plus company members include food fish, bait fish, ornamental fish, shellfish, aquatic plant, marine specimen, alligator and other water environment product producers. The association maintains an active presence in the state's legislative process to promote a favorable climate for development of the aquaculture industry. The FAA's Board of Directors consists of directors-at-large and commodity representatives. The association hosts an annual education conference in the fall and publishes a quarterly newsletter.
